This one sat in low bud for at least 3 months before it finally decided to bloom. I noticed one more low bud that may bloom this summer. Never get more than one flower at a time despite all the growths but I'll take it.

This species normally takes 3 years from new growth to flowering.
Be certain to give rest 2-3 months in winter; little water and 15-20°F. temp differential summer to winter nights.
Do not pinch 'blind' sheaths; they're NOT blind.

Thanks for the helpful tips.

Gorgeous!

Lance,
What do you mean by "pinch a blind sheath?"

Thanks
Jake
