In spike when purchased
Doctor (or Dr.) Toot
delentaii x kolopakingii
Been looking for years and found at a local orchid show/sale and in spike!
Likely y’all would comment on what I paid!
I cannot take credit for blooming.
2 buds. 2 growths.
I just adore delentaii crosses. Still in search of Neerach, Marilyn Hansen and Stella Linn

Yikes, sorry to hear that. If it's even fragrant, the scent probably won't be terribly strong, so even without the Covid19 complications, don't set your expectations too high.

Is that from Jurahame? I've considered picking one up even though intersectional crosses aren't really my thing just out of nostalgia for those wild Dr Toot ads RJ Rands used to run in the AOS Bulletin.

Wow! I haven't seen this plant/flower in 20 plus years, since Rands made the cross. This appears to be one of the better one's. Most were pretty wonky.

Just saw this hybrid listed on ebay... nice-looking plant, actually. Dying to know the origin of the name and more about these "wild ads." I have a slipper-growing friend who is, shall we say, gaseously gifted?
