Below is a photo of what now seems to be a fairly common slipper orchid. I purchased 3 of these about a month or so ago from Enlightened Orchids. I believe I paid around $25 each for them. He told me he had one in bud and would send it to me. When they arrived two of the three were in bud. I went for these even though I have a number of them as I was looking for a quality flower. The breeding is (Amy's Challenge' AM/AOS x 'Hsin-Ming' SM/TPS). The first one to open also had a dark pouch but didn't have as good of shape. The only down fall that I can see is the little ruffling of the petals. I haven't smelled it yet but truthfully I only find maybe one if 10 with a fragrance. To get a good flower and fragrance is quite a challenge.

Bob,

Wow. Another we shoulda kept! ;) Nice petal width- good and chunky- a very desirable trait. Not too shabby pouch color either. A keeper IMO. Cheers!
