Saw this at a local OS meeting... is it?

Did you have any doubt that it is not? what feature?

Yes, you have a reason to doubt.

This is more of a typical Paph. Cam's Cloud (Picture from LI Jane):

The one you saw is probably Paph. Karl Ploberger (hangianum x bellatulum). The give away (besides the size) is the staminodal shield.

:DRobert, You have the eagle eyes of an expert hybridizer.
It is so hard for a hybrid to go by another name under the examination of a professional grower.

And that is a good thing. Consider the confusion from a certain emersonii hybrid.

Thank's for your comments Robert... No, I did not take this home - but would have liked to. It was real nice. When I saw the flower the first thing that jumps out at you is that it is huge. I am not as proficient at Paph hybrid identification, I am a Phal grower - so I hesitate to make any taxonomical assertions. I remembered that there was a discussion about this hybrid.

Thanks all for the input.
