A couple of Paphs in flower again. This is the easiest growing callosum I have encountered. It is even starting to clump. The Vanda M Pearman looks a bit wonky this time.

What brand, strength and frequency of fertilizer do you use?

The fertilisers I use are MAGAMP and Trio (CMB) Foliar. The MAGAMP fertiliser is a slow release fertiliser that simply attaches to my hose. So basically every time I water I attach the MAGAMP and it fertilises and waters at the same time. Too easy. MAGAMP contains high levels of Mg. On the downside it has high levels pf P although I can't say I have noticed a problem because of this.

MAGAMP doesn't have any Ca so I also regularly use Trio (CMB) Foliar which contains 16.8% Ca. It also has high N and Mg and little K. I regularly apply Trio (CMB) Foliar as a foliar fertiliser but also apply it to the potting mix every third application.

I apply the CMB at half the recommended concentration. I'm probably fertilising at a higher concentration than a lot of people on this forum.

I had heard that too, primarily through this forum. I know little compared to many on this forum but I would have thought a specialist agricultural fertiliser company would be aware of this if this was the case. Given their fertilisers are directed at a way more important and lucrative market than orchid growers, I would be amazed if the Ca from CMB is largely unavailable to the plant. The company strongly recommended me to apply it as a foliar spray as they said it was a far more efficient and immediate way for the plant to access the nutrients. I do apply it to the potting mix as well, so the plants can definitely access it through the roots.

Way easier. It is a nice easy growing clone that flowers every year. All my other clones I have found really difficult. Funny as the guy I bought this plant off said he was really struggling with it. I have two clumps of this clone. It hads two growths when I got it which immediately fell apart. The plants are getting big enough now that I might start to see multiple spikes.
