Named for my schnauzer Bailey after his passing. He was a wonderful companion, and still missed ten years later. Tried to remake this hybrid (tigrinum x fairrieanum) many times with no success, but selfed it this morning in hopes it may take. Hug your dogs!

That is really nice! What a great tribute to Bailey. 'Hope the selfing takes. Charlie has received his hug ...... in fact, many hugs, so far today! 'Named a primary Cattleya hybrid after him. Cattleya Charlie Marcotte (walkeriana x lawrenceana).

Nice. Didn't the Bailey's (Orchidbabies) make a similar cross?

Don't think so, but anything's possible. I registered the hybrid in 2000.
