An interesting cross. This one has been a multi-growth blooming size plant for maybe two or three years. This year, it finally went. Four spikes, one stalled out, the other three have two or three buds in reserve, each.

I like it, but I wouldn't be surprised if others didn't.

BTW; I got this from Ernie. Ernie: have you seen any of its cohorts bloom? How have they been?
 
About the same, Sue. The drosal has been stubbier and more forward-facing like appletonianum in most- unlike yours which has a more narrow, upright dorsal. The colors are probably best described as "earthy"? The best things about this hybrid are it's ability to make mutligrowth plants pretty quickly, the strong upright stems (thanks appletonianum), and be strongly successive in bloom habit. For those with this hybrid, I'd recommend not to divide it- it's charm is the display a well-grown plant, such as Sue's, can provide.
