Paph. Amarantine

Hi Guys, it has been a while since I posted! I finally can post some things that I have been growing on my own windowsill. And yes, I am now a hobbyist/windowsill grower!

Here are two pictures of Paph. Amarantine (= moquettianum x liemianum). This was a remake of the original cross that I did. I have been growing this plant in my kitchen windowsill now for 2 years, and this is the first time it is blooming!

That's a beautiful cross. I love the hairy halo on the dorsal.

Everything about this bloom appeals to me, especially
that it is a sequential blooming Paph. The speckles on
the pouch are sooo attractive.

Characteristics of both, looks great!! How big is the plant? I have seen huge mottled leaf liemianums with 36 inch leafspan

Looks like a dwarf moquettianum. I see no improvement over either parent for flower quality only. Ease of culture may have improved.

I have seen an improvement, the loss of the large white ring around and stripes on the dorsel, to soft light ring and suttle spotting, and darker leaf color
