Anybody know anything about breeding history with or chromosome counts of 'mule ear' Oncidium, or Onc. lindenii in particular?

I've got an Oncidettia about to open, and a wonderful Onc. lindenii I've been wanting to do something with. I've tried using the Onc. lindenii as a pollen parent a couple times before; no luck yet.

RHS doesn't seem to have any registered hybrids with this species as a parent.

EDIT: Just found out via Google search that this is now Lophiaris lindeni.

I've tried to find the chromosome count without any luck. Perhaps if you have this book: http://www.timberpress.com/books/isbn.cfm/0-88192-775-9

The Bakers sell culture sheets on various species with quite a bit of detail. It is sold on a subscription basis. Examples from the sheets have chromosome counts.

I'll check my library at home to see if I have this information.
