The gaudy new species, named Paphiopedilum cyanicus is described as a small limestone loving species
from Vietnam. Prof. Lucretious Wigglebottom who found and described this species predicted that it will be popular
with breeders because of the novel blue irridescence on the dorsal sepal. He said that it was an easy
species to cultivate but for it's requirement in culture for supplementation with pandemonium palpitate which
is difficult to obtain in most countries.

Just thought some of you might be interested:confused:

Cheers,
Tim

The pandemonium palpitate reference was just to make sure no one took this too seriously ... but then of course this is a chemistry joke I suppose.

I believe Sanderianum has done much research on pandemonium palpitate use in Paph culture and trained several governments in its use, and written papers on it, but it is confidential of course. In other words, it's not surprising people took this seriously if you look at the rest of what they swallow.

That seems like an unnecessary shot. The rest of us are big boys/girls. We can figure out "with way the wind blows" without additional help.

Vendor taking a shot at vendor?

Seems out of character for you.

Is this differ fron paph. cyaniacum found at the north-eastern border of Viet Nam an Lao (mid 2005)? The other has white dorsal w/ blackish-purple basal markings, but not blue or violet on the white base. cyaniacum is a bit larger than the mini such as spicerianum or heleneae.
