Wow, that was fast! Thanks for the nice comments already.

Honestly, it's more about me being inspired (though one does hope to improve with new work). I really love the parvis, especially the green ones. I could go into all the reasons why, but I'll spare you guys. It is jackii by the way. I've had some wonderful people share references from all around the world--my clip file is extensive!

Thanks! Even I can't find too much I'd do differently with this one. I like painting ethereal orchids best, especially those that are complimented with an evening palette in the background. Luna moths are one of my favorite insects and these paphs very much remind me of them.
 
Gosh, that's incredible, the level of detail is just amazing. I can't draw/paint to save my life so I really admire anyone with that level of skill.
