this plant has been knocked off of a shelf several feet off the ground, had leaves broken off from the falls, sat in its pot too long and had its roots die back significantly, been eaten by mealies, thrips.... i've repotted it, given it some beneficial insect friends and it is now rewarding me with a little love (two spikes!!!!) and a strange growth...
oh yeh, still workin' on getting rid of all those lovely mealies that enjoy it so much. gonna drop a mealybug destroyer larvae or two on it...

the funny growth seems as if, after first starting in one direction, decided to grow in the other. seems to be growing well...
here are the blooms. not a great blooming... only one flower on each stalk.
n.s. is about 14 cm
the color is pretty true.

In spite of everything, it's still going, and going. It is determined to survive.

yup. it's in a greenhouse.
it's best to find a local source for beneficial insects. shipping can be really expensive. mine typically come from greenmethods
