Has anyone else seen the offerings by rc_vn on ebay? He's got lousy feedback, but people are all over his paphs. Interestingly, all are Vietnamese. Not all are legal (tranlienianum) http://cgi.ebay.com/Paph-Tranlienia...ryZ42218QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
and it seems that his barbigerum looks lots more like barb var. lockianum (coccineum) than traditional legal barbigerum. Could it be that we have another Chinesegreen? His greenhouse pictures also look a bit suspicious to me...this is in the northeast US???? Take care, Eric

He had a helenae up for auction too. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260161294773
I was wondering about the same things that you were, and wrote a nice message inquiring about the origin of the plants and his growing operation etc. I never got a response. If you notice, some of the past auctions are for replication bags, wallets, etc. I'm steering clear.

The nursery photos look like it could be Vietnam. It's not a character I'd ever give any money to. Thanks for the heads up, Eric.

I thought the same thing Eric about the location.
Julia - I, too sent a message to the seller & got no response.

Hi all,

I thought byuing from him too, but fortunatelly, taking your saying and the fact that the plants are too young into account, I didn't!!!! Thank you all... :)

Best regards
Thanasis
