This is a species found in Eastern Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia in extremely wet montane forests at elevations of 500 to 2800 meters. The plant stands about 2 feet tall. The flower is just over 3" (8 cm), non fragrant. It is a single flower on a foot tall spike. I grow this one moist and intermediate in bright shade. Received this in trade in 2007...thank you Peter!
