Masdevallia veitchiana - two color forms

Photographed at Ecuagenera's main (cooler-growing) nursery in Gualaceo, Ecuador (near Cuenca).
I nearly gave myself whiplash looking at the second one.

It looks as if the purple pigmentation of the first is absent in the second. Veitchiana is one of my favorite masdie and the one I have in my greenhouse has been in flower for years.
