Let's pretend I want to try flasking.

Alrighty, let's ignore my lack of seedpods and pretend that I want to build a hobbyist's flasking setup. What do I reasonably need for a basic system and where would you recommend I buy the equipment and supplies?

Also, which books / guides / etc. would you recommend I read before attempting this?

A good space to start would be Aaron Hicks' site. He runs the orchid seedbank project, and is a fount of information. And all around good guy. Go there and start reading...

A bunsen burner, a pressure cooker, a fan, some stainless steel utensils, sealable glass containers, various liquids, media and a lot of patience
