This is a first time bloomer for me. It looks like it's going to be a tall plant as it reaches full maturity. Only 3 flowers, but they've got a nice color. It's growing in semi hydro inside the g.h. in high light.

Looks like a lot of C. guttata or leopoldii. Maybe some C. bicolor too!
I think you're right....very tall....but lot's of flowers too when mature!

yes. very interesting colors, and great lip!!! do you know about the parentage?
Yes, it's Kencolor x guttata which works out to be 50% guttata, 25% bicolor and a smattering of 5 other species.
What I DO find a little annoying is that this cultivar isn't showing as awarded. Researching the parentage brought it to my attention. There are 2 awards-none the 'Summer Spectacular' that was stated on their site and is on the tag. And I've grown this one up from a seedling over several years. So, if it really was awarded it should be showing up. Wishful thinking on Hausermann's part or a mistake in labeling???

I find that sometimes really old awards aren't in Wildcatt. I don't know about the other databases -- but did you try Sanders (the books)?

Nice flower, for sure.
