I'm soooo delighted with besseae ('Balance' x 'Curves') and
it's the baby plant that I air layered from the original plant
from EdHanes. The mother plant has two spikes as does
besseae ('Peach Cobbler' x 'Colossal Peach') from the same
source. I sent a photo of the first bloom to Gary, but he
must be at the farm and very busy.

I apologize for myself and my modem. Every time I try
to post a photo, the modem just goes dead. I donno why
and am very tired of trying to find out why through tech
people.

I just wanted to brag a bit. It's a very pretty Chinese
red with yellow fenestrations. Very good shape too.
Eric, you'll just have to take my word for it unless you'd
like to see the photo via email. :D

Congratulations Angela! You are doing really great with phrags.
I killed my beautiful bess (that I got from John_M ) long ago and really need to get a replacement, but sort of scared now. :)

Orchideya, my one and only trick is rainwater. I don't
fertilize and I don't talk to 'em...well, I did a little talking
when doing the air layering. Apparently, besseae love my
rainwater. OZ breeding might have had a little something to do with it. You think???

Orchideya, you're scared??? The one who is doing a FLASK! I'm
terrified of buying a flask. Hitch up your britches and try again!

Not to fash, Troy. I don't understand me either most of the time.

Congrats Angela! Besseae are gorgeous but they seem rather finicky, so I've settled with a couple of their hybrids instead. You seem to be doing very well overall with both Paphs and Phrags. A tad jealous over here.

Oh yeah??? You've got that 'Little Sister' growing beautifully while mine gets smaller every year. I'm not
just jealous; I'm thinking of theft on a large scale. Mr.
Lin doesn't have anymore like the two we bought, so your plant is the logical target.
