Is this in spike?

That's a question I've asked myself regarding this plant numerous times over the last year and a half. Previously bloomed, just once, on a now-gone growth.

Last week, it turned out the answer was "yes." Specifically, all three mature growths (on a 5 growth plant). I considered making the title to this thread "OMFG."




Anyhow, I'm pretty excited, and will post some pics as it goes along, if I can remember. It's a Paph. Saint Low. Any advice about spike training is welcome. I'm currently planning on (1) not moving it at all ever until its blooms are set, and (2) staking the spikes rather than going for the natural arch. As you can tell from the shadows, the light source is at about 10 o'clock in this pic.
 
for training the spike, i'd suggest a whip and a chair, a la lion tamer style. those St Low spikes are pretty wild...
