Australia is fortunate to be well-endowed with renewable resources and technological expertise. With government leadership and support, the transition to a zero-carbon economy could benefit our economy in the medium term and generate much-needed regional jobs.
    .
A government whose policies are ranked among the world’s worst carries no moral authority. And without that moral authority the government has no clout to advance the only long-term solution to this crisis – an international framework for the rapid decarbonisation of the global economy.

The demand for decarbonisation is utter nonsense.
All life on Earth is based on carbon. Without carbon there is no life on earth.
Maybe in other galaxies there exist a different kind of life based on a different chemical element.
The organic chemistry is also called carbon chemistry. Every chemist knows that.

I'm just waiting for some idiot who calls for deoxigenation of life, because oxygen in high concentrations is toxic to life.

    Nevertheless, David, I love oxygen.
My favorite chemical elements are oxygen, carbon, hydrogen, a little bit of nitrogen and a lot of gold.

Over 99% of the world’s scientists believe climate change is real and human-caused and can be reversed. You must cherish your membership in the Flat Earth Society.

That is the great misunderstanding of our time. That are not 99% of the scientists, that are 99 of the scientists. First the number was 110 then somebody reduced the number to 99 and added the % sign and nobody noticed it.

David, You should know, in Germany only the scientific institutes receive financial support from the government if they confirm the official political opinion of the government on technical and scientific matters.
This is a politicization of science, which annoys me greatly.

There is the Potsdam-Institute für Klimafolgenforschung (PIK, actual director Mr. Edenhofer, former Mr. Schellnhuber, the international top Gurus of Climate change) near Berlin, which is funded by the Federal Government.
The institute confirms the federal government's opinion on climate change and informs and updates Greta Thunberg in climate change by human beings.
Greta herself confirms the opinion of the Federal Government and calls for acceleration.
This is called a circulus vitiosus of the flow of information.

Over 99% of people who believe that 99% of scientists believe that climate change is human caused suffer from delusion.

Climate change may enable us to achieve the climate targets.
When it gets warmer, we need to heat less and can reduce our CO2 emissions. In doing so, we are achieving our climate targets in Germany.
I am delighted with man-made climate change because it helps us save the world.

That's laughable, you must be a comedian. The hotter it gets, the more we will have to air condition everything - and we will need power for that. Some things need cool conditions to grow, not everything grows in the tropics. The conditions we have had for most of our civilized existence have been ideal and should be maintained.

Then you waste all that energy saved on reduced heating by having to run your air-conditioning unit throughout the Summer!

No, I'm not a comedian. I interpret the official opinion of the German government on the energy transition in Germany.

No, China and Russia would like a little warmer condition in Asia
