Unfortunately, no. Greta has a much better acting education by her father than me.
My father died more than 20 years ago and he was a chemist not acter.

Oh, but, Bertie, you two have so much more in common than what separates you due to your alleged lacking acting skills and your purported rationalism vis-à-vis Greta's quasi-hysterical emotionalism: you both excell in provocative attention seeking behaviour and you both are masters of evoking strong and violent feelings in others!
So I stand by my former dictum:
    Bertold with a d matches Greta to a T!

Yes, 500 years ago I would have tweeted, the sun does not turn around the earth.
But the biggest difference between Greta and me is that I will never get the Nobel Peace Prize.
So I do not see any danger of shaking hands with Al Gore or Barack Obama at the annual Nobel Prize winner meeting in the nice city of Lindau am Bodensee.

Jens, slow down with the smileys a little bit, please. It activates too strong feelings in me.

    Yes, right, Jens.
But I think Greta will get the prize next year.

The Nobel Peace Prize is given today for politically correct good intentions.
Obama got the prize for his intention to destroy all nuclear weapons in the world
Greta intends to save the world.
The Pope may get the prize for his demand in all languages "peace on earth".
Therefore my dope is the Pope.

Thank You for reducing Your smiley activity, Jens :):):)

    For the education of Berthold.
Hollywood and the elite entertainers will show us the way.

    They say.......

''Climate change is happening faster and more furiously (me - it's furious now so pay attention!) than was predicted; millions of people are suffering, leaving their homes and arriving on our borders as refugees. Alongside these people who are already paying the price for our fossil fuelled economy, there are millions of children – called to action by Greta Thunberg – who are begging us, the people with power and influence, to stand up and fight for their already devastated future.''

You see? The children's future is ALREADY devastated! (because it has warmed 1 degree C apparently)
Millions of people are suffering and leaving their homes and arriving on our borders! ( from the effects of a 1 degree C temperature rise over the last century apparently)

''Life on earth is dying. We are living in the midst of the 6th mass extinction.''

Never mind that they cannot show any evidence whatsoever of one single organism anywhere in the world dying or going extinct due to the effects of a 1 degree C rise in temperature over the last 100 years. - Just believe them. They are celebrities!
And stupid me thought all the suffering people leaving their homes was because of torture, drug gangs, murder, bombings, poverty, war, suicide killings, corrupt governments. But no! it is the warmer weather!

There are many of them now. Educate yourself more here....https://rebellion.earth/2019/10/16/...e-are-all-hypocrites-in-open-letter-to-media/

Thank You Mike. What Hollywood and its scientific advisory are writing scares me.

    But I want to add:
Many people think that global warming is the most humane way to reduce the number of humans on earth.
It is ethically morally much better than world wars, the Chinese Cultural Revolution or poison gas or Spanish flu, which only killed 20 million people.

Jens, it is said: 98% of the 20,000 climate scientists follow the IPCC.
But one wanted to say: 98 of the 20,000 climate scientists follow the IPCC.

Bertold, "Il faut cultiver notre jardin" - and with that, the defence rests its case! ;)

And à propos: did you see my recent post in your Dendrobium vietnamense-thread?

Yes, Jens. It's a great satisfaction for me to arouse your interest in that species and I hope You can get the plants.
It will need warmer condition as at your actual home base, but climate change will manage it I am sure.

    I understand very well.
Jens, but do not hesitate to post again if you get new insights into the accuracy of the climate change forecast.
    Good luck in the garden.:)

Greta wants to travel with her team from the USA to Madrid for the UN Environment Conference.
She is looking for a way of traveling with no CO2 ejection.
The price doesn't matter to Greta.
Does anyone have an idea for it, solar driven aircraft or something like that?

The perfect solution to this problem of course will be a raft made from recycled solar panels.

Switching off all nuclear power plants in Germany it the most stupid political decision of our Chancellor Angela Merkel. She is physicist with a doctor degree but that does not protect against stupidity.

I am very sorry about that, because we had the best nuclear plants in the past and a very fine technological standard, including the Thorium ball heap reactor THTR. See the graphite moderator ball below.
We have no alternate of energy production after sunset when wind is calm, so we have to import electric energy from french nuclear power plants and coal power plant from Poland and other countries.
Searching for a nuclear graveyard was stopped by politicians about 17 years ago to have better argument for switching off the running plants.

    Nonsense poor in Germany
