a peach coloured spat... i counted about 10 spikes growing now... spats are very easy to grow, free-flowering and grow into specimen sized plants quickly.. everyone should have one..!

very easy... they are terrestrial.. need free-draining soil.. they like being dry between waterings... give full sun and water liberally.. some of the species (s.affinis) and its hybrids are slightly more delicate and may need rest when they shed their leaves..

oops, sorry... not water liberally.. i meant FEED liberally. they are very greedy plants and like to 'eat' a lot.. ;P

yup, they are not choosy in terms of soil... but free drainage is essential...
