Does anyone have this issue or suggestions for keeping flower blooms to last longer?
I have 2 plants from different sources and this and last year blooms from both plants only last 9-10 days.
My delenatii blooms last 4-6 weeks or longer. I do not have vietnamense to compare. I wonder if this species influence results in short lived blooms.
My niveum, armeniacum, malipoense and micranthum flowers last 2-3 months and I had one niveum flower last just over 5 months!
Thanks for any advice.

Get plants from Tokyo or somewhere other than U.S. grower/breeder. The original species plants that were certified here are from poop stock.

Michael, take it as it is, this is the disadvantage of this cross.....P. HCM flowers don't last that long. O.k. 10 days is quite short but usual HCM flowers last 2 maximum 3 weeks....that's all.

I wonder if moving it to a cooler location when it comes into bloom might extend the life of the flower a little. I will try it when mine blooms and report back. (Might take a few years though)
