I just have bulbs from Habenaria medusae. (sorry for the title , mistake, i saw it late)
I would like to tell me in what ground-mix put them, please.
In their original habitat, they grow in soil with sand.
I think to put them in 50% sand and 50% general garden soil.
I think this will be well drained.
Believing that except of well drain, the mix must not hold the moist ( i think moist must be kept in pot only for 2-3 days), so begining the dorm period must not be moist in the pot.
My english is not good - sorry.
Please tell me alternative solutions.

hi Gianis

I have Habenaria davidii and dentata and grow them in a mixture like yours. I start to water in March and keep them warm. They take a long time to start into growth.

In winter they are dry and cold but no frost

Interesting that your tuber size is quite big. Mine has flowered a couple of times but the tubers are small and roundish, less than 2cm. Your tubers actually look more similar to my Pecteilis susannae. In any case, both are easy to grow terrestrials. Treat them just like any other terrestrials, bright light like cattleya. Both do not need cold dormancy, just keep drier when they die back.
