This one is showing a nice red-pink color and very good shape. It is a division from a wild collected plant several years ago. We are using it to refresh the blood of the inbreeded and more tailored ones from OL and Glen D and we have got very good germination rates.

Be still my heart! That's a beautiful flower in all respects.
Have you noticed that the staminode has a tiny butterfly?
I think the inbreeding of orchids is producing some very
weak, rather ugly plants and a few good ones. Bringing
in wild genes is a good idea. Being a horse person in KY,
I've seen far too much inbreeding that weakens the offspring over time.
