First time flowering.......

Slc Tangerine Jewel 'Southern Cross' x Blc Waianae Leopard 'Bette'

A bit of a dissappointment, I was hoping for larger flowers and more intensity in colour but I will hold onto it for another year and see how it goes.

Darren, I can see your disappointment, I would be thinking a wrong label but there could have been a thro back ( a fair way ) to flower this way.
Did it come from Northern NSW on the coast ???

Still nice though. These blooms developed in your late summer and fall, perhaps cooler temps will bring out more color in winter/spring flowerings?

It's not fragrant that I can tell. But then again it sits next to an Australian Native which is smelling quite strong.

It has another growth yet to develop so maybe the cooler temps we are starting now will bring out some intensity if it flowers again this year. Good point!
