The season is getting underway here at Hillsview Gardens. The A.O.S. Membership Meeting was just hosted by the Portland Orchid Society, a great success for everyone involved. This seedling was just dug up out of a community flat because I did not want to loose sight of it. It should get better on a larger plant, however, not too bad on it's maiden flowering! Hope you enjoy this spotted lovely!

This bloom reminds me quite a bit of Paph. Quiberon Bay (Winston Churchill 'Redoubtable' FCC/AOS x Milmoore 'Maltese' AM/AOS). Is the
Thunder Bay a bit more red than burgundy? I have Quiberon Bay from
you, of course, and it's doing extremely well. Alhambra is in low bud at the
moment and I'm delighted, Theresa.

Thunder Bay is fuller in the petals than the Milmoore 'Maltese'. It breeds darker spotting in the dorsal. Here is a photo for comparison.

Hope the link works!
