Feeling a little bloated and weighed down after the holiday and wishing the food served hadn't been so enticing so you could have exercised a little restraint? Trying to figure out a way to shed some of those extra pounds and looking for just the right recipe? Don't quite know what to do with all the leftovers that are now in your freezer?

There's a solution for everyone somewhere here-

I about fell over poking around for turkey leftover recipes on line when I found this site. Click on any of the recipe cards over to the right.

These things are a hoot! I recently purchased this entire set of original cards for my kitschy cookbook collection. Sadly in my set the "Frankfurter Spectacular" is titled "Hawaiian Frankfurter Platter." I guess they decided it wasn't that spectacular. :( One of my favorite recipe names is "Almost Pizza."

I don't collect recipes or recipe books per se but I do like publications that are entertaining. I have one recipe book that's a first edition titled, "Gay Parties for all Occasions". I believe it is from the roaring 20's and had originally purchased it for my brother as a gift but got it back when he passed away several years ago. Some of the themes for parties were rather interesting and had us reduced to fits of laughter when we started reading parts of it. If you like to cook and/or entertain, I really think you should track down that book if but for nothing else other than to have a few deep belly laughs. The recipe cards from that candyboots site are fun. I could see passing them around for people to look at. Do they come complete with the comments from the website? Anything else amusing in your kitschy cookbook collection?

These were some of my favorites-

Hahaha, those recipe cards made me laugh out loud! Ironically enough, I joined Weight Watchers this afternoon. I'm going to look for these cards on eBay and pass them around at future WW meetings, they'll probably ban me from the premises....
