Here are a few photos of the Fascination Of Orchids Show held this past weekend in Costa Mesa, Ca:

I was offered a division of this cymbidium for $600!

Fred Clarke of Sunset Valley Orchids named this Potinara after his wife. It recieved an HCC/AOS!

This Paph Nitens 'Sue' (villosum x insigne) won a 95 point CCE/AOS! It had more than 60 flowers!

Jim Rose was disappointed that this Lycaste didn't win an award! I agreed!

How large a pot was the Nitens 'Sue' in? It is breathtaking. :smitten:

Grandma

Grandma, the pot is between 18-20 inches wide!

The owner has entered every year for the last number of years. It has had more flowers annually. This was phenomenal! Understandable as to why it won a 95 point CCE/AOS!

Thanks for the pictures, I'm really enjoying all the orchid shows that I'm 'attending'. We have Potinara Little Toshie 'Pizzaz' who looks alot like this one.

So did you buy the cymbidium? I met Jim last weekend! An intriguing gentlemen I must say!

Tadd,

No. I could find a number of paphs for that kind of money! I had a couple of shots of fairries; but they were all overexposed! Next time!
