different cross, this one is malipoense 'Green Horizon' x micranthum 'Joe's Red'. flower is 11 cm high, 10 cm across, first bloom as well

It is not common on fanticums to have strong dorsal markings. It is characteristic of most the cross. I guess the answer I would think is prob not. Or maybe a little.

the more I look at this one the more amazed I am by the size of the flower

This flower is really huge - very impressive.
All other remarks see P. Fanaticum #1.

How exciting for you! I bought the same cross of Paph Fanaticum from Orchid Inn when Sam spoke at our society in May 2006. Mine looks like it should show something soon and hope that it is a nice as yours.
