This species is flowering the first time for me, got it a year ago.

The long spured flowers are not big - seven flowers on the spike - but reveal their beauty at the close up. No scent so far.

Flowering 20 days now, and still strong:

Can not say much about culture, as I have this plant just for one and a half years, so, the substrate is very fast draining, the plant gets plenty of water at one time, then I let it dry a bit (terracotta pot does dry fairly soon), a bit sun, light shade. Lava pebbles and a bit of bark, a bit of coconut fibre, sand. As soon as I see new roots - late in the growing cicle - the plant is watered even more, on hot days even dayly. When the leaves turn yellow (the bottom ones first) I give less water until there is no leaf left. Then it is dry, just with occasional mistings. Lowest tº around 14ºC. In summer tº between 22ºC (nights) and 30ºC at day.
