Epiphronitis Veitchiana var variegata

I purchased this one a few years ago from Mountain Orchids. I like variegated plants especially with red flowers.

Sophronitis coccinea is one of the parents and you can't get more red than that x Epi radicans I believe

Hi Ron, the epi was one of the first orchids I had when I started out in orchids and had it for years, still one of the nicest. I think you will find that its Epiphronitis Veitchii not Veitchiana. According to the RHS anyway.
Its always been Veitchii here as well.

A side note to nothing, Epiphronitis Veitchii will not breed. It apparently is sterile in all ways.

Ron, its not hard to do. Looking through old catalogs and even the Orchid hybrid register, names ending with " ii " & " iana " show up regularly for the same plants.
