Finally reaching a mature size after several years and a near death experience with rot.
Originally an EYOF plant bought from Ratcliffes.
This is the second mature growth but the first proper full size flower spike with 2 side shoots. The spike is already well over 2 feet high.
It looks like the plant needs two fully mature growths before this sort of flowering can happen.

It is a beautiful flower and the plant seems to be pretty happy right now. I have one that I like a lot, but it has had two near death experiences in the last 8 years. This one and a Jason Fischer, both tetraploids, are the most difficult of all of my phrags. They grow great for a few years and then they rot and nearly die. They are a big PITA, but the flowers are very worthwhile. Mike
