Don Wimber 4n ex EYOF

This is a well travelled plant. Twice across the pond.
I bought it off a guy on eBay UK about a year ago.
He had imported it from Orchid Inn, USA. See the label in the first photo.
It originates from the EYOF.
It’s quite definitely polyploid. Slow growing with very stiff leaves.
This is its first full growth with me so hopefully the plant is not yet showing it’s full potential.
The leaf span is about 16 inches. My other Don could produce much bigger growths.
The flower is not big but very flat and great colour. Typical teeth from it’s ploidy.

Great dark color and we just have to put up
with the ragged edges on the petals. This one
isn't nearly so bad as some I've seen with big
horns.
