I was checking my Paphs (this is a once a week maintenace thing I do) and what should a spy...the start of a spike on one of my roths :clap::clap:

the waiting game begins

this must have been a great moment; I can understand because I am doing this checking every day!! Will this be a first bloom? how long do you have the plant? Jean

:drool: do you want to make us more envious with the parentage?

I hear ya -
just temporarily loose it on one of the back benches, forget about it & time will fly!
....... now if I only had a back bench for that PEOY of mine!

Once in sheath, I try not to move plants around. It wouldn't matter if I moved it now anyway for now I know it is in sheath I will be drawn to it :rollhappy:

My PEOY bloomed for me last year. I remember the wait.:D

and here I was beginning to think you were no longer a rothaholic Ron, with all those new bulbos...
It takes so long to get these roths to bloom that I needed something else to keep my busy :rollhappy:

Guess what I added to my collection today :)

I got a select besseae out of Frank's besseae river that was at the WOC :smitten: It is 'Bleeding Heart' x 'Colossal'
