Is this seed pods? This Dr. Jack took 3 years to rehabilitate from being grown in cacti conditions (not exaggerating; he was growing it with cacti and they were thriving while this orchid had about 20 dried leaves along a lonnnnnnng stem. 3 years later, a double bloom from one growth...now these. Advice appreciated...anyone interested in what I presume is Dr. Jack x self seed pods? I never learned to pollinate, so if this was successful it had to have been either from jostling or from tiny insects.

How long have the seed pods persisted after the flowers dropped? Sometimes random slippers of mine will hold on to the ovary, but it never really develops further and eventually they'll drop off, as opposed to splitting open and dropping the seeds. I have a Paph. concolor that does this from time to time.

As far as how it got pollinated, some plants are prone to self-fertilization, no jostling or insects needed. I'm not 100% certain of the mechanics of it, but it doesn't even appear to require the pollinia to be relocated onto the stigma. I have a Phrag. Pink Panther that seems to regularly self-pollinate, but whenever I check the pollinia are always still in their normal spot.
