Wonderful Uri!
The one at my society had 13 spikes. Certainly they are prolific bloomers. How do you grow yours? The person I know had let it go very dry by accident and as soon as he watered the spikes sprang forth this spring.
This is an update
The plant needs a dryspell from mid october till march otherwise it will not bloom - If the psb dries too much then water or keep colder - first spike loses it flowers already
Acineta is a not often seen orchid genera of approx ten species with pendent flower scapes like stanhopeas, but flowers are different and numerous, and they last longer - another similar genera is lueddemaniana. I've 5 different species now and will show you pictures if and when they bloom -
They look ugly in pictures, but in person, they are very interesting... kind of resemble Peristeria flowers on long pendulous spikes, but on a Stanhopea looking plant...
Would love to see pics when and "if" they bloom, Uri!
