When Deflasking paphs what are the best methods. How much of the agar do you need to get off the roots etc.?
Any tips?

Some people actually leave the agar intact and set the whole group of seedlings in a bed of moss or a fine bark mix, and then carefully b put a little media on top of the agar. It is pretty much used up when the time comes to separate the plants and pot them up individually.

I think you'll find there are as many ways to deflask as there are deflaskers.

The main goal is the saftey of the seedlings rather than removing the agar.
You don't want to forcefully untangle the seedlings or bother them too much trying to remove agar.

I also prefer planting the whole thing as a group unless some come off easily on their own. I find that the seedlings grow on great without pause when there is minimum disturbance to the roots.

Some agar comes off on their is easily as mentioned by a member.
You can also use a chopstick or thin stick to poke around between the roots to relieve some agar if you wish.
