Mid January Update: this plant came half dead with 3 leaves left 2 years ago. After 2 growing seasons, it produced 1 flower bud in Fall 2020. The bud is extending so should be in full bloom in 2 weeks. The orange colour will intensify after the flower blooms for 1-2 weeks. This is one of the earliest Japanese C. goeringii to bloom. Last picture was the condition of the plant when I received 2 years ago.

it requires a lot of skill to bring the plant back alive. Requires a lot very specific requirements and techniques to bring it back and bloom in 2 years. I think if you can grow and bloom C. goeringii subsp. goeringii, I think you can pretty much grow any orchids you want.

Wonderful growing. I used to grow ensifolium and sinense on a bedroom windowsill and they bloomed and did very
well. When I built a greenhouse, they all died when moved. I assume the gh was too warm. I'm very much enjoying
your photos.
