No, that is wrong. What about Your understanding of written English today?

If industry has to pay for nuclear waste, industry would raise prices. Secundino said, in that case nuclear power would not exist. Do You see the difference?

IDK if your english skills are the problem here or if you are autistic or what, but certainly German has room for inference...When someone says that "if industry had to pay for it" (it implies that there is no other recourse) ...if industry 'HAD' to pay for it...meaning they couldn't count on transferring the costs..then they would not exist..this is what Secundino is inferring..you can also tell the meaning of her statement by placing it in the context of the entire statement

No, that makes no sense, because Industry can always raise the prices when costs are climbing if You have no competitor, which is true for energy production.

Of course it is a very important job of the management to reduce costs. If You cannot raise prices due to climbing costs You have to thing about moving offshore.

No, I dont believe You have 2 or 3 powerlines at Your house and can choose between good and bad electric
power.
You have to pay the price of the power company..
