    Your flowers are never the less...cheery and bright...and help to keep up our hope here in the northern bleak winter!

    I gather that you are safe in Brisbane?
    But wonder how the situation is for David in Canberra? I just got home from vacation and heard, that people are getting evacuated not that far from there.

    I've been concerned about the fires as well.
    Australia is so very far away that sometimes
    Americans forget it's there. It's rather sad
    that it takes disaster to bring your country
    closer.
