Yes lolā¦ warneris always look like theyāre dying when in bloom .a bit shrivelled, too
Not sureā¦. Probably due to cold.doesnāt seem to bother the plant or surrounding neighbors. What are those black spots on the leaves?
I havenāt noticed it ever being robust with fat bulbs in this cultivar (or many of my warneris). Iām sure it can do better. But itās my experience that warneris are always shriveled when in bloom even in its home Brazil.Leslie,
Love the intense colour on the lip. Could there be a root problem that has caused the shrivelling?
All that color! Not the best flowering of this plant but it was stuck in a corner while back. More light will produce better blooms. Bad Papa here .

The old bulbs somewhat do plump up after but the new one grows fat.Iāll check mine when they flower. Too early yet. I didnāt notice it last year when āgraueā flowered.
so do the plants recover their plump bulbs later in the year?
