Cattleya trianae splash

Five blooms on two growths this year but the splashes are smaller than last.
For a random eBay purchase I lucked out with this plant.
It’s a good grower, now in dire need to a repot and I can just see a nubbing starting at the base of the more mature lead.

David, you think a nice diploid trianae? When will you repot? Ideally we would do when new roots are forming at the base of the new growth, which is after trianae has fully made the growth. However, when the plant is out of room and the new growth is going to be going out of the pot I have gone ahead and repotted. I don’t think anything died because of it but maybe it took longer to fully establish in the pot. I am working hard this year to only repot with roots at the right phase.

it’s probably diploid. I’ll repot as soon as I see one more root start to develop.

Very narrow petals for a trianae but the floriferousness makes up for it.
