This is a select plant from Bela Vista Orchids imported by the sadly missed Regina Elsner last summer. It’s still not quite adapted to European time having crossed the equator but purpurata is as tough as old boots and has done well. It put out new roots within a few weeks and proceeded to produce a late growth this spring which has just flowered.
Given what it has gone through I’m very pleased with the outcome, nice shape and excellent deep rubra colour.F95AA8C6-FECE-428D-ADB7-9C1288978EC7.jpeg

It's both gorgeous and great flowers!

I hope I'm not imposing by asking, but do you happen to know of european Cattleya providers, that you could recommend? I'm more familiar with Paph dittos, although there of course is quite some overlap.

Kind regards, Jens
