Cattleya lueddemanniana-Bought this plant 4 years ago as Cattleya lueddemanniana rubra. However, when it opened, I think it is just a regular Cattleya lueddemanniana. It turns out that it is just a regular Cattleya lueddemanniana. Thank you again Francisco Miranda from Miranda Orchids to ID and verify this Cattleya for me. This is the first blooming. I like the splashy lip. I hope the flower will improve in future blooming.

Poor thing.

Unfortunately, there are so many issues with this flower; not rubra, small lip, poor petals formation (usually rounder in tipo luddies). Such is the luck of a seedling cross.

There are two good news though: one is that you are able to bloom a high light species, and second is that the flower may improve next 1-2 years.
