It’s not often that I have so many cattleya species flowering all at once in summer.
The dark lueddemanniana has only just opened yesterday and still has some growing to do but I was worried that the warscewiczii and gaskelliana were on their last legs.
front L to R is x hardyana, lueddemanniana dark and gaskelliana ‘Maria Victoria’. At the back are warscewiczii sanderiana and lueddemanniana ‘helle’.

Linus, I was quite careful with them. All the ones on the south facing windowsills were moved into the north facing kitchen for the two days of of extreme heat. It was high thirties on the second day even in the shade. I left all the others on east or west windowsills, including the phrags, where they were. All are fine. I did water them all thoroughly the day before the heat and the day after. The two lueddemanniana clones both opened their flowers during the heat extremely quickly.
