Yes, I think it is influenced by culture. Mine gaskellianas use to bloom late sping, i keep them a little warmer in winter, i have some plants that likes higher temp but i have only one GH. This may be the reason of early bloomingsLove that mini flare! Kinda early for gaskelliana?
I would also love to see a picture of the full plant. The presentation of the flower is impressive, i recall this species being a little ‘batty’ looking. But this one is Nice and flat across the petals and dorsal sepal. I still have to add one of these species to my collection. Any cultivar recommendations? Would be nice to have this in bloom for rhe summer.Surprisingly it has a little pincelada type pattern. There will be 6 flowers on 3 growths.
What border? we’ve got to find some way to share divisions.I have a huge gaskelliana here that I could have divided into several 3-4 bulbs and sold to you guys if the border wasn’t an issue.
