I was intrigued when I saw Littlefrog's photo last summer so I had to get one. After 11 months of doing nothing, I had completely given up on checking for flowers. Then this week I looked out on the balcony and it surprised me with a bloom...

And Rob was right: warm vinyl is a strange but appropriate description of the smell.

Very good description of the smell. I never thought about it really, but when I tried to imagine the smell of warm vinyl I thought of the last time my luteola bloomed...lol.
