A slight scent of seafood - like smelling a fresh conch on the beach.

I'm delighted and amazed at the variety of shapes and colors of
Bulbos. This one is perhaps in my spooky category...just a little
bit and I can see this one being pollinated by carrion flies.

Beautiful, fascinating shape. I wonder what the pollinator is for that. I like that it has another bud growing. I have bulbophyllum facetum and bulbophyllum bicolor, both sequential bloomers. I didn't think to sniff them.

I initially thought the name meant The fascinating Bulbophyllum... but to be certain I looked up 'fascinator' in my latin-danish dictionary - and a fascinator is actually a magician, sorcerer or wizard. So I guess the correct translation of the name into English might be The bewitching or spellbinding Bulbophyllum.
And, actually, the fringed borders of the flower remind me of the antique gala dress Ron Weasley is wearing at the christmas ball at Hogwarts! 😁

That is gorgeous! I do believe I need to add this to my bulbo collection!
