I purchased a couple of these guys a while back, I just though the cross would be interesting. One bloomed out earlier this spring, and now, the bigger of the two has finally bloomed. :) the flowers don't last long, but they are sequential, so it actually is in bloom for a decent amount of time. Flowers are about 11" long.

Bulb. Wilbur Chang #2 (echinolabium x carunculatum)

For reference, here was #1

Did it inherit echinolabium's odor???

Yes! #1 though was definitely stinkier than #2. #1 managed to fill my entire kitchen/downstairs with a lovely dead rotting fish smell.... I kept trying to figure out where the smell was coming from..... until I remembered the bulbo on the counter. It was the culprit! BLECH!! :rollhappy:

#2 is only stinky if you are up close and personal, so it's not bad at all. (not recommending sticking your nose in the flower though!)
